Family and friends were invited to wear the professional hockey team's orange and black colors at his Saturday, Jan. 6 visitation and prayer service. And according to his mother, Peggy Collier, "almost everybody did."
Greg died on Dec. 30, 2023, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees after a long illness. He suffered from Myotonic Dystrophy.
Greg's main passion was the Philadelphia Flyers: "He always cheered on the Orange and Black through the good and bad years," his obit read.
He avidly collected Flyers' memorabilia and loved watching the Flyers practice in Voorhees.
"Greg is on the ice in heaven!" the obituary says.
Greg graduated in 1997 from Bishop Eustace Prep School in Pennsauken. After graduating with a bachelor's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001, Greg was employed as a packaging engineer for Kraft Foods and Reynolds.
Greg also loved spending time at the family shore home in Brigantine.
In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his wife, Danielle; his daughter, Ellie; his cherished cat, Miss Grey; his brother, Michael; and his grandmother.
"Greg was a wonderful husband and devoted father. His life revolved around his family, especially his lovely daughter Ellie," the obituary says.
Arrangements were by Healey Funeral Home of Haddon Heights.
